Spiderman animated Wikia

The Williamsburg Bridge is a suspension bridge across the East River in New York City, connecting the Lower East Side of Manhattan with the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. The bridge is one of four free vehicular bridges between Manhattan Island and Long Island, along with the Queensboro Bridge to the north and the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges to the south.

History[]

While tracking a dangerous creature to East River Park, Spider-Man overhears a victim inform police that it headed east and deduces that that it would make its way to Prospect Park via the Williamsburg Bridge. Kraven the Hunter later scales one of the bridge's towers, picking up the scent of his target.[1]

When Spider-Man first battles the Prowler, he leads him away from an urban neighborhood to the top of the Williamsburg Bridge, in order to avoid injuring any members of the public. Utilizing his battle suit's weaponry, the Prowler defeats Spider-Man, who falls from the bridge into the East River.[2]

Notes[]

Williamsburg Bridge CG model from The Prowler

Although the CG model for the Williamsburg Bridge used in "The Prowler" is inaccurate in places, especially the towers' trusswork, it can be identified by the four distinctive cable saddle housings on the tops of each tower, further detailed in traditional background art in later scenes.
