2099 Reviews: Spider-Man: The Animated Series (1994-1998)
Spider-Man: The Animated Series is a 1994 television series that is one of my personal favorites.
- Cohesive story arcs.
- Appearances from characters from other '90s shows, like X-Men and Iron Man.
- Has some of the best versions of Spider-Man and his supporting characters.
- Giving this more backstory, maybe waiting seasons before giving them their alter ego personas.
- Made for 3-Dimension character personalities, even making J. Jonah Jameson at least semi-likable in the process.
- Christopher Daniel Barnes has become one of the definitive voices of Spider-Man.
- It's about as out of lip-sync as a Japanese monster flick.
- There are some truly corny lines of dialogue.
- After a while, you notice that Spider-Man never punches anyone!
