History[]
The hover chair was designed by Spencer Smythe for his son, Alistair. Spencer planned on using funding from Norman Osborn to build it. However, Spencer disappeared before he got the chance to construct the hover chair.
Alistair later started to work for Kingpin. Kingpin then gave Alistair the funding to build the hover chair.
The chair could hover above the ground and had claws on it which could be used to handle radioactive material.
When Herbert Landon turned Alistair Smythe into a cyborg he also designed a new hover chair for him. This new chair could actually fly through the air instead of just hovering and it could fire missiles. This new version also had robotic legs built into the side which Smythe could use as weapons.
