This version of Quentin Beck was from an alternate reality and lived during the 19th century.
When Spider-Man first met this Mysterio, he believed it was the Mysterio from his reality and attacked him. However, Spider-Man quickly learned that this Mysterio was actually a Mysterio that was native to that dimension. Spider-Man also learned that that reality's Mysterio co-owned a carnival with that realities Green Goblin.
Beck and Harry then offered Spider-Man a place to sleep and some food while they repaired his Web-Shooters. In exchange, Beck would help Spider-Man stop Jack the Ripper who was really Carnage. Beck wanted to help Spider-Man because he knew that if people learned that he helped stop Jack the Ripper it would gain a lot of business for his carnival.
Mysterio then took Spider-Man to see H.G. Wells. Wells was able to fix Spider-Man's Web-Shooters.
When Carnage kidnapped Mary Jane, Mysterio found Carnage and attacked him. However, this reality's J. Jonah Jameson arrived and shoot Mysterio in the arm because he believed Mysterio and Spider-Man were Jack the Ripper.
Spider-Man was later able to defeat Carnage and returned to his home dimension with Mary Jane.
- This version of Mysterio appeared in the script, Peter Finds Mary Jane.
