Joan Lee (January 13, 1922 - July 6, 2017) was the wife of Stan Lee.

Biography

Early life

Joan Lee was born Joan Clayton Boocock. She was born on January 13, 1922 in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

In her youth Joan Lee was a hat model.

Joan married Stan Lee on December 5, 1947.

Together Joan and Stan had two children, Joanie Celia Lee (born 1950) and Jan Lee (born 1953, died three days after birth).

Career

Joan Lee voiced Ms. Forbes in the Fantastic Four cartoon from 1994 and Madame Web in Spider-Man: The Animated Series.

Joan Lee appeared in two documentaries about her husband. They are Stan Lee's Mutants, Monster's & Marvels (2002) and With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story (2010).

Joan Lee also had a brief cameo alongside Stan Lee in the 2016 movie, X-Men: Apocalypse.

Death

Joan Lee died on July 6, 2017 at the age of 95.
