The George Washington Bridge is a double-decked suspension bridge spanning the Hudson River, connecting Fort Lee in Bergen County, New Jersey, with the Washington Heights neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan, New York City.

When astronauts John Jameson and Paul Stevenson lost control of their shuttle following a space mission, they made a crash landing on the George Washington Bridge. Kingpin then sent Rhino to the bridge to retrieve the Promethium X from the shuttle. As Rhino arrived he fought Spider-Man but was able to get away with the Promethium X. Jameson and Stevenson were then taken to the hospital.[1]
After Green Goblin learned Spider-Man was really Peter Parker, he kidnapped Mary Jane Watson and brought her to the George Washington Bridge to use as bait for Spider-Man. When Spider-Man arrived they fought and during their fight Mary Jane fell off the bridge and into a time dilation portal and ended up trapped in limbo.[2]
