Coney Island is a peninsular residential neighborhood, beach, and leisure/entertainment destination on the Atlantic Ocean in the southwestern part of the borough of Brooklyn, New York City.

Rogue and Archangel once fought Apocalypse near Coney Island.
Once at Coney Island, Spider-Man had his first run-in with Hydro-Man inside a nearby aquarium. However, Hydro-Man was able to escape.
Sometime after Spider-Man defeated Hydro-Man, Peter Parker took Mary Jane Watson on a date to Coney Island. While there it began to rain. Peter apologized because he knew that Mary Jane was having water problems lately (talking about Hydro-Man). However, Mary Jane replied that it didn't bother and and then kissed Peter.
When an accident occurred at Jonathan Ohnn's laboratory several time dilation portals were released through New York City. One portal landed on the track of a roller coaster at Coney Island. However, Spider-Man was able to stop the roller coaster car from going through it.
